In a troubled and divided world, it is good to hear the heart-warming news that God's kingdom welcomes everyone. There are no barriers, no walls and no one has to stay outside because of their race, language, culture, or background.

Isaiah envisions people streaming in from every nation, each speaking their own language, yet all gathered together by God's love. This offers wholeness instead of division, fellowship instead of conflict and it fulfils the ancient longing that pulses through every soul. The letter to the Hebrews reminds us that belonging to this kingdom doesn't mean easy living. Sometimes God teaches and corrects us, just as a loving parent guides their child. This discipline is not a punishment meant to crush us. Rather, it helps us grow stronger, more faithful and more loving. In accepting this guidance, we will discover true peace and goodness. It will also help us become strong enough to stand firm and help others.

Jesus speaks of a kingdom that is not just for those who think they deserve it or belong to special groups. People will come from east and west, north and south. They will all sit together at God's table. The door is forever open.

But Jesus challenges us too. Do not take this for granted. Put in real effort to enter and live as kingdom people ought right now.

So, what does this really mean? Our job is to help others know they are loved and wanted by God. No one will be excluded. No one is second-class. By treating others with dignity, kindness and respect, we live as true citizens of God's kingdom.

This way of life benefits everyone. It creates harmony among peoples. It helps us see life's true value. It leads us to respect life as sacred and as something God has entrusted to us.

Accept this challenge to build a community where everyone is welcomed, respected and valued. And let us acknowledge the promise that divine love is extended to each of us, calling us into God's kingdom of peace and harmony.

Not only are you deeply, deeply loved by God but you also have a very special place at his table.
